One of the greatest blessings of this job is walking alongside families and watching them grow and welcome in others. I often get to first meet people because of their presence at other weddings whether as a guest, part of the family or the bridal party, and then sometimes I have the privilege of getting to know them even better as a bride or groom themselves! Eric is one of those faces who has shown up in other wedding pictures, but this time he gets to be the groom :) Kelsey's beautiful face was in our church as a young girl, and of course, we see her more than we should admit when she serves us at Subway (it's our default when we don't feel like making food, though I think that's true of lots of us who live in this area!). She has grown into such a lovely lady with a kind heart and a sweet smile. I am so excited to capture their big day this summer!
We have had some COLD days this year, but we have equally been blessed with absolutely beautiful ones!! We had planned to do these engagement shots closer to spring so we could have some warmer weather and still get the white stuff (there is definitely lots of that this year!), but it was so beautiful in January that we ended up sneaking them in early after all! Love that sometimes Manitoba can't make up it's mind on what season it should be (well, that is when it chooses something warmer than the norm!).
